Inhalt

Structure and History of English (SHE) Part II – offered every summer term – discusses the linguistic structure and the history of the English language. We will deal with the Indo-European and Germanic ancestors of English, including internal changes as well as historical changes due to language contact. We will also focus on changes in the Middle English and Early Modern English periods, as well as the Modern period right up to the present day.
